She made it to the final lists of pilgrims/delegates for the World Youth Day 2016 with Pope Francis in Krakow, Poland... Thanks be to God...
First, the recommendation/approval... next, the essay... then, the extremely tough panel interview which was too obnoxious/shocking to some and causing many to cry (my 2nd daughter came out overwhelmingly stressed and said, "never again!")... came next were the must-attendance to regular formations and retreats/recollections... She hurdled all the screening processes with lots of sacrifices and enduring faith... She got her passport and visa... Now comes the real challenge: the actual pilgrimage itself which will take 3 weeks starting July 18, 2016... And she needs to raise around 150K Php or $3000 (including air fare, registration fee, accommodation , and pocket money) for the pilgrimage...
She's currently a Junior college student at the University of the Philippines - Diliman, an active youth member in the Parish Youth Ministry and the Lectors and Commentators Ministry. She wishes to be a part of the grace-filled event of the Krakow WYD 2016 because she believes that she could have a better understanding of the Catholic Faith through the WYD experience, which, in turn, will help her spread the Word of God better and deepen her dedication to become servant-leader in the Diocese and in the parish as she strives to live in sanctity and set a good example to her fellow youths.
